ACTS Retirement-Life Communities was founded on the premise of providing
the highest quality of services to residents in a Christian atmosphere
of dignity, sensitivity and respect. It takes a multitude of people
every day to achieve this goal. Our employees are the foundation of
which our organization was built. They help us to fulfill our mission. They
give it life and push it forward. Many cultures coming together to provide
services around the clock to the residents in our care.
Just as we serve elderly residents from all walks of like, so too are our
employees of different backgrounds. In itself, ACTS has a global community.
Employees come to our organization from 44 different countries
speaking many different languages. They offer a variety of customs and
cultural experiences. While inherently so different, we are united in our
respect for the senior population we serve and the desire to honor this
population by the care we give.
Diversity is a mosaic of people bringing together a variety of backgrounds,
perspectives, values and beliefs. It is about creating organizational
awareness of similarities and differences of individuals and their
unique contribution to achieving one goal, on purpose. Our employees
are our greatest resource. ACTS recognizes and appreciates the daily contributions
of our staff and their varied backgrounds.
ACTS' Culture of Loving-Kindness encompasses strength of resolve and
conviction to do what is right before God, our fellow employees and our
residents. Diversity is part of that culture. Having the conviction to recognize
every individual for who they are, not just what they do.
We are committed to the development of a diversity initiative that will
enable our organization to fully appreciate the array of cultural backgrounds,
attitudes and talents demonstrated by our staff, tap into this
valuable resource and provide opportunities for personal and career
development. We strive to be a place where the best people want to
work. Where all employees have the opportunity to contribute to their
fullest potential.
In order to be successful in our diversity goals, we must recognize differences
and facilitate an atmosphere of understanding, respect, appreciation
and inclusion. Understanding and valuing diversity is more than
making a statement, it is about providing for an open dialogue, a chance
to learn, grown and expand your vision.
It is the rich tapestry of our employee's backgrounds that serve as the fabric
of our unique and caring staff. We appreciate recognize these differences
while working together to serve our residents.
Many Cultures. One Company.
Many Hands. One Vision.
